Whitbourne Hall stands in eight acres of wooded grounds on the Herefordshire / Worcestershire border. This Victorian country house was built in classical style for a Worcester vinegar manufacturer, and has been a family home ever since. It is now a 2* listed building, and retains many original features both indoors and in the gardens.

Much of the house is now converted into apartments, but the grand reception rooms on the ground floor and the unique pillared atrium with its marble staircase and glass ceiling have been restored and retained as an elegant and spacious wedding venue.

Drive up to the massive oak doors under the portico, and then enter a breath-taking central atrium with white marble staircase and blue glass ceiling.

Oak doors open into the Adam style Drawing room, with painted panels, gilt mirrors and crystal chandelier; and the Dining Room with ancestral portraits. These rooms can be used either for dancing or dining as you prefer. The Morning room provides a comfortable sitting room for those who prefer to leave out the dancing.

On fine days the Terrace is a favourite place for drinks and relaxing, in wet weather the atrium offers ample room for guests to mingle over the canapés. From the terrace the views over the lake, or clipped yew hedges and fountain of the Italian garden are glorious. Photo opportunities abound inside and out.

Bridal couples can plan a truly bespoke wedding reception. Given exclusive use of the grand reception rooms and terrace, they can bring in their own caterer, florist and entertainment.  They will have access the day before the Reception to dress the rooms to their own style, and the day after to clear away. Couples can also provide their own wine etc., we will not apply a corkage charge.
